NOTE: Some Purl Soho I have purchased and some have been provided as yarn support by Purl Soho for specific projects - no compensation/money is exchanged for using the yarn or talking about the yarn on my social media platforms. I do not receive any commission for any purchases you make.
ANOTHER NOTE: All project bags in this video have been sewn by me. I don't follow any specific pattern or tutorial. They're all a little different in size/shape. Some I do a drawstring and others have a zipper. If you're interested in sewing your own project bag, I recommended checking out books at the library, going to a local sewing shop, and/or searching on UA-cam/Google for "sewing a drawstring bag" or "sewing a zipper bag." There are lots of patterns and tutorials out there that are free and/or paid-for options.

    I LOVE all your projects and the colors of the yarns! Thank you for sharing them with us. I do have the same problem with my glasses sometimes when I put something over my head, but I don’t usually take them off. I also garden and bake … I have just started making sour dough bread and my first one actually turned out really good 😊

    FYI I think it was a few years ago she came out with sizes 38 and up in a modifications release she did in 2022 I believe. It’s called mods for larger sizes or something incorrect like that. I know because I made the 38 and the 40. :)

    First time watching and such a lovely episode! So much I could type but I’ll try not to go very long; I’ve been making progress keepers in the same way from Michael’s, the most recent are cicada wings in honour of the emergence this year. I’m finishing up a colourwork sweater and debating my next caston as well as taking part in Tour de Fleece.

    I also get my glasses caught on my clothes! Have to put them on in the morning to make coffee etc and then by the time I'm dressing for work I forget they're already on my face 😅I was spinning as I watched this episode, but you've inspired me to make some tank tops with some of the MANY skeins of beautiful handdyed sock yarn I own, so I am scheming up some plans for those once I finish my current knits.

    Thank you for sharing your lovely projects as always, and hope you're continuing to have a lovely summer! I can definitely relate to getting my clothing stuck on my glasses - even after wearing glasses for almost 3 decades, I still do things like get them stuck when pulling on a shirt, or accidentally flinging them off when pulling off a shirt 😅

    • @EdibleThoughtsMakes

      Thank you so much!! Right??? I’ve been wearing glasses since 2nd grade. I think what it is, is that once I put them on in the morning, they don’t come off until I go to sleep. So essentially they’re part of my face during the day and I just forget they’re there 😂 😅 🤓.

    • @halima_things
      @halima_things День тому

      @EdibleThoughtsMakes exactly!! I started wearing glasses in first grade and think about them the same way - they're just part of my face until I do something silly like knock them off when pulling off a sweater 😂

    What a fun collection you’ve made. I have a tip for you on cutting out rayon… Get a small rotary (I like the 10mm) and as you are cutting place an acrylic ruler (like a quilting ruler) along the edge of the pattern. It will keep your fabric from shifting and will give you much better precision. You can also do a heavy starching to the fabric before you start cutting which will help too. Thanks for sharing this video. I really enjoyed it. 😊

      As always, so good to "see you" here!! THAT SOUNDS SO MOUTH WATERING!!!!!! I've got a Blueberry Crumble in the oven because Smitten Kitchen posted her pic of them today so I had to make it (and I had all the ingredients on hand so I had to!!).

    LOVE your dress! I usually lightly iron washed linen after washing the fabric and before sewing it, but it gets all nice and crinkly again after. Sweetwater is one of my favorite Purl Soho yarns, what a great choice for Aimee's tee!

      Thank you so much! Appreciate your insight on washed linen fabric. I'm so pleased with how Aimee's tee turned out - I was a little nervous at first because of the shallower yoke depth that had a closer fit on others but then when I read that the yoke depth could be easily adjusted (wasn't sure because of the lace detail part), and that I would have a different row gauge that worked in my favor, I decided to give it a go!

      @@EdibleThoughtsMakes The tee is in my to-knit list. Hopefully, I'll get to it before summer's over. The yoke being easily adjustable is what drew me to it to begin with.

    For what I'm now working on, it's my third stranded colorwork hat, this one in the Flying Geese Hat pattern. I'm using Knitting Yarn, a DK weight merino wool from Purl Soho, in the colors New Leaf Green and Purple Prune. Knitting Yarn comes already put up in a skein, so no winding ... Yay! Took me 20 years to try stranded colorwork, and I'm really enjoying it.

      Awesome! I love Knitting Yarn. Glad to hear the colorwork process is enjoyable for you!

      @@EdibleThoughtsMakesIf the DK weight yarn works out all right using a worsted weight hat pattern + adding one repeat, then I'm thinking of ordering a stash of Knitting Yarn to use just for hats. I'll wait for a sale.

    Your Building Blocks Cardi is lovely, such a beautiful fit . The buttons your husband made are perfect for the sweater. On my screen the Hedgerow yarn looks more like sweet potato than fuchsia, but since I have hanks of Hedgerow Fuchsia Rose in my stash, I can visualize the actual color.

      Thanks Vivian! Oh dear, it doesn't look orange at all on my screen. Though different screens have different color correction is all I can think of???

    • @vivianpowell1732
      @vivianpowell1732 6 днів тому

      The color difference is because of my screen, which has been showing all reds as being more orange than they actually are. That having been said, since that red-orange color looks great with that cardigan and buttons, maybe you could make another one in Hedgerow Persimmon Red!
